Terms of service
Last updated 20 September 2026
The short version
SwapToZec exchanges one cryptocurrency for another. You get a price on screen, you send the exact amount shown, and we send the other coin to the address you gave. There is no account, we hold no balances for you, and nothing here is an investment service or financial advice.
Who you are dealing with
SwapToZec is operated by SwapToZec AS, a company registered in Norway. These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. You can reach us at support@swaptozec.com.
What the service does
You choose what you are sending and what you want to receive. We show a quote, take a destination address, and give you a deposit address and an exact amount. When we have verified your deposit on the blockchain, we send the receiving coin to your address.
We never hold a balance on your behalf, and there is nothing to withdraw. Each swap begins and ends; there is no ongoing account relationship unless you choose to create one.
Quotes and prices
- A quote is firm for as long as it is valid. The standard fee, any size adjustment and the network fee are already inside the figure shown, so the amount quoted is the amount you receive.
- Every quote expires. Quotes for larger transactions expire sooner, because a price held open at size is worth more.
- The expiry covers accepting the quote and creating the swap. Funding it has its own separate window, which starts when the swap is created.
- If we cannot price a request under current conditions, we decline it rather than quote a number we cannot stand behind.
Your deposit, and why the amount must be exact
Your swap is identified by its deposit details: the deposit address together with the exact amount you were told to send. That pairing is what lets the service run without an account or an email address, so the amount is not a formality.
Sending something else changes what we can do:
- A different amount — the deposit is not matched automatically and is handled individually.
- A different asset or network — the same applies, and recovery depends on the chain involved. Some chains make it impossible.
- After the funding window closes — a late deposit is not discarded. It is reviewed and handled individually, at the price we can obtain at that time rather than the expired quote.
In each case, contact us with your swap link. Do not send a second deposit to fix the first.
Your address is your responsibility
We pay the address you give us. A blockchain transaction cannot be recalled, so an address that is wrong, that you do not control, or that belongs to a service which does not accept the asset or network we are sending, means funds we cannot recover. Check it before you confirm.
What we do not do
- We do not hold balances, lend, stake or invest anything.
- We give no investment, tax or legal advice. What you owe on a swap is between you and your own authorities.
- We do not guarantee a settlement time. Confirmation times depend on the blockchains involved, not on us.
- We do not guarantee that the service is available without interruption, or that any particular request can be quoted.
Acceptable use
You must be legally permitted to use this service where you are, and you must not use it for anything unlawful. We may decline or stop a swap where we are required to, or where we believe the service is being abused or attacked.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our responsibility for any swap is limited to that swap: the amount you sent us. We are not responsible for market movements, for losses caused by an address you supplied, or for delays on a blockchain. Nothing here removes a liability that cannot be excluded under the law of Norway.
Changes
These terms can change, with a new date at the top. The terms that apply to a swap are the ones published when you created it.
