No. The USD notional used for pricing comes from live USDC markets rather than an assumed peg. The quote shows the figure it used.

What does the USDC to ZEC rate mean?

What happens if my USDC deposit is late or the swap expires?

There are two separate deadlines. The quote itself is held for 60 minutes — that is how long you have to accept the price and create the swap. Once the swap exists you get a separate funding window, shown on your swap page, to send the USDC. If your deposit arrives after that window closes, the status page shows Expired and the swap moves to Review required; it is then completed at the current rate or refunded to your refund address. Nothing is lost by being late — a late deposit just needs review before it is processed.

Is exchanging USDC for ZEC private?

Your USDC deposit is visible on the USD Coin ledger like any USDC transaction. Give a unified (u1…) address and the Zcash payout enters the shielded pool, where its amount and destination are encrypted on-chain. We store only what a swap needs — amounts, transaction ids and the address you gave.
